Eliza Hooper is a Los Angeles-based director, writer and creative director obsessed with the power of laughter— the original engagement metric! She blends observational, situational and physical humor to explore the intersection of comedy and emotion, using humor as a tool to foster human connection.

As a commercial director, Eliza works across formats, creating everything from social content to broadcast campaigns, all with a playful edge. She’s directed for a variety of brands, including Budweiser, Old Spice and Meta. Her recent work with Zapier won three Telly awards.

A former creative director at Funny Or Die and writer at Upright Citizens Brigade, Eliza cut her teeth in sketch and branded comedy. She has written and directed content for HBO, ABC, Comedy Central, Freeform and IFC. And before all that? She was a writers’ PA on The Simpsons, where she mastered the art of the lunch order.
